Ever zoom all the way into a one minute chart, make your call, then look up and realize the bigger picture had quietly moved without you? You were watching the trees. The forest went somewhere else.
That was me, over and over.
I'm Beer. I build houses, I write code, and I trade. When the tool I need doesn't exist, I usually end up building it myself. And after enough mornings spent flipping between timeframes and losing my read every time I came back, I started building my own trading system. I call it Moltfi.
HTF Candles is one small piece of it.
What it does
It puts the higher timeframe candles right on the chart I'm already working. Open, high, low, close of the bigger picture, sitting there in context while I trade the small stuff underneath.
No more flipping up to the 4 hour to remember where I am, then flipping back and losing the thread. The big picture stays put. I stop losing my bearings.
And that's the whole point. Most of my worst trades were never about the entry. They were about forgetting where price stood in the larger move. Context is the game. Once the higher timeframe stopped leaving my screen, a whole species of dumb mistake went extinct.
The bigger build
HTF Candles is one tool on the bench. Moltfi is the workshop.
I'm building it the way I build a house. One solid piece at a time, and I don't walk you through a room before the floor will hold your weight. The first room I'm opening up is the Moltfi Heatmap, a desktop app. That one's close.
I'm doing it in the open this time. The last thing I built was good, and almost nobody knew it existed, and that taught me more than any winning trade ever did. So I'd rather tell you the story while the sawdust is still in the air.
Pull up a chair. The running build log lives on the Moltfi timeline, and whatever else comes off the bench ends up on my author page.
